Breast Care
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, except for non-melanoma skin cancers. According to the American Cancer Society, the chance of developing invasive breast cancer at some time in a woman's life is about 13 percent.
While breast cancer is the most notable disease, there are numerous benign diseases that affect the breast, including:
- Fibroadenoma (non-cancerous tumor)
- Fibrocystic change (lumpy breast)
- Ductal Papilloma (wart-like growth)
- Mammary Duct Ectasia (blocked milk duct)
- Galactocele (milk-filled cyst)
The expert physicians at St.Vincent Health provide a full spectrum of clinical and support services, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and counseling.
