Community Connections

The “spirit of caring” is not just our tag line, but rather making good on a promise that four Daughters of Charity made when they started a hospital in Indianapolis over 128 years ago. Connecting with the community is essential to fulfilling our mission and vision: to improve the health status and well-being of Central Indiana Hoosiers, with special attention to the most vulnerable.

It takes a village to improve both health care and health. This requires healthcare providers, businesses, local government, schools, social service providers, civic organizations, and individual citizens all working together. St.Vincent is committed to leading this effort in the communities we serve.

We do this by partnering with our communities to:

  • identify community needs and assets
  • support programs and events that address community needs
