Thinking about becoming a nurse?
Becoming a nurse is a life changing experience. Registered
Nurses solve problems, utilize complex critical thinking, deliver the majority
of care to patients, and routinely perform life-saving efforts. During times such as these, more nurses
are needed.
Marian University for St.Vincent Health Program
- Developed in collaboration with St.Vincent Health
- Uniquely designed for students with a previous baccalaureate degree
- Allows students to earn a BSN in 16 months
- Classes start three times a year: January, May, August
Registered nursing is one of the fastest growing career
opportunities. The national Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 22 percent increase
in RN employment nationwide between 2008 and 2018. In the Spirit of Caring, St.Vincent wants to help.
That’s why, in 2009, St.Vincent Health entered into a unique
collaboration agreement with Marian University to expand the availability of
future nurses. Together, a unique Marian University for St.Vincent
Health accelerated nursing program and special simulation lab was developed to
make it easier for individuals to change careers and become a Registered
Nurse. Today it is Indiana’s only 16
month accelerated online bachelor’s degree program in nursing.
If you already have a baccalaureate degree in a non-nursing
major, this 16-month accelerated BSN program at St.Vincent Health is for you.

The program is engaging and interactive. It blends the personal convenience of online
course study with enriched clinical learning in the Marian University for
St.Vincent Health simulation lab and at St.Vincent Health facilities throughout
Indiana. You will be guided by faculty online and on-site in a
flexible but deadline-driven setting that sufficiently prepares you for a
career in nursing.
Graduates of the program receive a BSN degree from Marian
University. They are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN in preparation for
licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana, and are also able
to apply for graduate programs of study in nursing.
