Laurel B. Fick, M.D., F.A.C.P
Transitional and Preliminary Medicine Year
Dr. Fick is a 2005 graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Fick is a general internist who enjoys teaching and seeing patients in the hospital and clinic settings. She has a keen interest in medical education, research, sports and travel. Dr. Fick has a special interest in cost-conscious and preventative health care as well as making the Transitional and Preliminary Medicine Programs the best training experiences possible.
The Transitional Year and Preliminary Medicine Programs have a large number of dedicated full-time and volunteer clinical faculty in all of the specialties and subspecialties of Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics and beyond. The clinical teaching faculty at St Vincent Hospital are dedicated to medical education and have a wealth of experience in teaching and patient care. Many are recognized regionally and nationally for their particular skills, are friendly, and highly supportive of our residents.
