Richard I. Fogel, MD, FACC
Chief Executive Officer, St.Vincent Medical Group
Dr. Richard Fogel is chief executive officer of St.Vincent Medical
Group, a physician-led, multi-specialty practice launched by
St.Vincent Health in July 2010.
Dr. Fogel earned his bachelor’s and medical degrees from Brown
University in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his internal
medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Boston University
Medical Center, Boston. He completed his two-year electrophysiology
fellowship at Boston University Medical Center and St.Vincent
In 1994, Dr. Fogel joined Northside Cardiology, one of the founding
members of The Care Group, a private cardiology and primary
care practice in Indianapolis, as a clinical electrophysiologist.
He was elected to The Care Group Board of Managers in 1998.
He was instrumental in the development and opening of St.Vincent
Heart Center of Indiana and elected as its inaugural chairman of the
board in 2002. In 2005, he was elected board vice chair and chair of
the Finance Committee. In 2008, Dr. Fogel was appointed managing
partner and CEO of The Care Group. He held this position until The
Care Group was acquired by St.Vincent Health.
Dr. Fogel continues with a busy clinical practice in cardiac
electrophysiology. His special interests include radiofrequency
catheter ablation, pacemaker and ICD implantation.
He has been actively involved in the Heart Rhythm Society, the
international organization representing physicians who specialize
in the management of patients with heart rhythm disorders. From
2008-2011, he served as chairman of the Health Policy Committee
and is a board trustee of the Heart Rhythm Society. In 2010, he was
elected second vice president of the Society and will be president of
the Society in 2014. Dr. Fogel is also secretary of the Indiana Chapter
of the American College of Cardiology.
Chief Operations Officer, St.Vincent Medical Group
Brad McNabb leads the development and implementation of the
short- and long-term strategic plans of SVMG. This includes practice
operations, staffing, financial performance and growth, as well as
managing day-to-day leadership and operational aspects. McNabb
will also serve as SVMG corporate compliance officer (CCO) of
SVMG, ensuring ethics, regulatory, credentialing and licensing
A graduate of Ball State University, McNabb brings 25 years of
experience in physician practice operations administration and
public accounting to this position having served the last 10 years
of his career as COO and CCO of The Care Group (TCG). In this
capacity, McNabb was responsible for TCG’s overall operations,
including the central business office operations and information
