Dr. James Sumners, medical director for the St.Vincent Center for Prenatal Diagnosis at St.Vincent Women's Hospital, was the first surgeon in Indiana, and among a select group of physicians in the United States, specializing in Robotic-assisted transabdominal cervical cerclage surgeries, a treatment of cervical insufficiency.
