Female healthcare worker assisting older male patient

Home Care

St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital's home care program offers skilled, intermittent care in the home by:

  • Licensed nurses
  • Occupational, speech and physical therapist
  • Medical social workers
  • Home health aides

When the referral originates from the patient, the patient's family, friend, or other source, we contact the physician. Under the direction and order of a physician, an individualized care plan is developed for each patient, and may include several services, such as:

  • Home IV therapies
  • Ostomy and wound care
  • Management of catheters and feeding tubes
  • Management of chest or abdominal drainage systems
  • Rehabilitation programs
  • Connection to community resources
  • Safety planning

Referral and Insurance

St.Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital's home care program serves nine counties in central Indiana. Discharge planners, physician offices, social workers, and other referral sources may call directly for service. In-home service is reimbursed by most third-party payers. We are licensed by the Indiana State Board of Health, certified as a Medicare and Medicaid provider, and accredited by The Joint Commission.
