Multiple Sclerosis Clinic

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a common disease affecting the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord).Low estimates are that around 350,000 people in the United States have MS and approximately 200 people worldwide are diagnosed with MS each week.

Persons with MS may experience a wide variety of symptoms over their lifetime. Due to this complex of MS, Saint John’s has opened the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic which is staffed by a MS certified RN. The clinic is available to anyone with MS who obtains a referral from their physician.

Because no two persons with MS experience the same disease course, the clinic emphasizes individual plans of care for all patients. A multi-disciplinary approach is used to ensure all patient needs are addressed. Patients are encouraged to be actively involved in determining what services might be beneficial to them.

The following services can be provided by the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic:

  • Initial MS education
