Dentist Delivering Smiles
Dentist Delivering Smiles is a collaborative program to reach out to underserved children who would not otherwise have access to dental care, founded in 2000 by:
- St. Joseph’s Hospital
- Howard County United Way
- 30 dentists in the community
Poor dental health can negatively impact the overall health of a child as well as school attendance and academic performance. The coordinator of the program office is located in St. Joseph’s Clinic of Hope. Services for children and adults include:
- X-rays
- Cleanings
- Fluoride treatments
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Dentures
