By The Indiana Chamber of Commerce For Sixth Year In A RowOnly two companies have made the list more often
(KOKOMO, IN - February 21,2012) For the sixth consecutive year, St.Joseph Hospital has been named among the Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber. The statewide award recognizes Indiana companies that know what it takes to create an environment in which people feel valued. A total of 70 companies made the list. Actual rankings for the companies will be revealed at a May 3 awards dinner at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis.
Winners of the prestigious award are determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys in which employees randomly selected by the Best Companies Group complete a lengthy questionnaire. Out-of-state parent companies were eligible to participate if at least 15 full-time employees are based in Indiana. Of the 70 honorees for 2012, 45 were repeats from last year. Only two companies – Edward Jones and Katz, Sapper & Miller – have made the Best Places to Work list all seven years of the program’s existence.
“I am very proud of our associates," said Kathy Young, MS, FACHE, president of St.Joseph Hospital. “This is their award… it reflects our associates’ unwavering commitment to delivering world-class healthcare in a way that makes patients and co-workers feel valued and appreciated. It is a true honor to have our team and our organizational culture recognized for excellence for six consecutive years."
In addition to the May 3 awards dinner, winners will be recognized via a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s bi-monthly BizVoice magazine and through Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick – both of which reach statewide audiences.
