St.Joseph Hospital is Named A 'Best Place to Work' for Third Consecutive Year

Best Places to Work in Indiana

For a third consecutive year, St.Joseph Hospital is proud to be named a 2009 Best Places to Work in Indiana by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.   On May 5, St.Joseph Hospital was ranked as the 5th Best Place to Work in Indiana for 2009 by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce in the large-sized company category consisting of 250 or more employees.  In addition, St.Joseph is the highest ranking hospital on the list and the only healthcare employer in Kokomo to receive the award.

Only 70 Indiana companies have received the designation of “Best Place to Work in Indiana” by creating a strong workplace culture in which employees feel valued.  The award is in its fourth year and this is the third consecutive designation St.Joseph Hospital has received.

“We were competing with some pretty amazing companies and it is an honor to achieve the ranking of 5th Best Place to Work in Indiana,” said Kathy Young, MS, FACHE, president, St.Joseph Hospital.  “The ranking truly belongs to our associates because they are the ones that make St.Joseph special.  They take pride in being the best and they consistently go above and beyond to create an exceptional experience for our patients and each other.”

The program honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys.  Winners were selected from two categories:  small-to medium-sized companies between 25 and 249 employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees.

The actual rankings of the top Indiana companies were announced at the Best.

Places to Work awards dinner on May 5 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom downtown Indianapolis.  Winners will also be recognized in a special section of the Indiana Chamber’s bimonthly BizVoice® magazine and on Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick.
