Pastoral Care
Meeting the spiritual needs of our patients and their families and friends can be an important part of the healing process. That’s why the chaplains in the Pastoral Care Department at St.Joseph Hospital are specially trained and certified to work in a hospital setting. The staff is an interdenominational group, and is made up of caring people who understand the deep concerns that may occur during a hospital stay. They are available to help patients and families work through their fears, anxieties and loneliness, and turn hospitalization into a time of renewal, healing and new perspectives.
Chaplains routinely visit patients in all areas of the hospital and are available to any patient or family member 24 hours a day for spiritual support, sacraments, assistance with advance directives or to lend a compassionate listening ear.
