Diabetes affects an estimated 21 million people nationwide. It is a chronic disease characterized by high blood sugar caused when the body is unable to produce or properly use the hormone insulin, which is needed to convert sugars, starches, and other foods into energy.

The Diabetes Care Center

The mission of the Diabetes Care Center is to provide excellent diabetes education and services for patients with diabetes, their families and healthcare providers in South Central Indiana.

Our staff includes:

  • A registered nurse
  • A registered dietitian
  • Certified insulin pump trainers, which allows more freedom for children and adults alike
