Occupational therapy is the branch of rehabilitation services focused
on assisting patients of all ages to improve their level of
independence in self-care, work and play/leisure. From our smallest
patients in the newborn intensive care, to the elderly
population, occupational therapy facilitates improved upper extremity
function; safe functional mobility skills in the home; and daily tasks
such as eating, bathing, dressing or balancing a checkbook.
