A Randomised, Double-Blind, Parallel-Group, Placebo-Controlled Phase III Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of Desmoteplase in Subjects with Acute Ischemic Stroke: DIAS-4 |
Jeffrey Hilburn, MD |
The purpose of the study is to determine whether desmoteplase -- a drug used to dissolve blood clots and reopen an artery or vein -- is effective and safe in the treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke when given within 3 to 9 hours from onset of stroke symptoms. |

A Dose-Blind, Multicenter, Extension Study to Determine the Long-Term Safety and Efficacy of Two Doses of BG00012 Monotherapy in Subjects with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis: Biogen 303 |
Mark Janicki, MD |
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of the investigational drug, BG00012, in patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. BG00012 may exert a combination of anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective biological effects. |

JCV Antibody Program in Patients with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis Receiving or Considering Treatment with Tysabri®: STRATIFY-2 |
Mark Janicki, MD |
The primary objective of this study is to determine if the incidence of Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML) in patients treated with Tysabri (Natalizumab) for mutiple sclerosis is lower in patients who are JCV antibody negative than in patients who are JCV antibody positive. TYSABRI is a prescription medicine used to slow the worsening of physical disability that is common in patients with multiple sclerosis and decrease the number of flare-ups (relapses). PML is a rare and usually fatal viral disease characterized by progressive damage or inflammation of the white matter of the brain. JCV is a virus that can cause PML and other diseases in immunosuppressed patients. |

Genetic Evaluation of Natalizumab-Treated Patients with Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy: Biogen 403 |
Mark Janicki, MD |
The purpose of this study is to explore whether genetic characteristics make some patients treated with Tysabri (Natalizumab) for multiple sclerosis more susceptible (or resistant) to developing Progressive Multifocal Leukoencephalopathy (PML). TYSABRI is a prescription medicine used to slow the worsening of physical disability that is common in patients with multiple sclerosis and decrease the number of flare-ups (relapses). |

TYSABRI® Global Observational Program in Safety: TYGRIS |
Mark Janicki, MD |
The TYSABRI Global Observational Program in Safety (TYGRIS) is a safety observational program designed to obtain long-term safety data in multiple sclerosis patients treated with Tysabri (Natalizumab) in a clinical practice setting. |
