Women's Expo

St. Vincent Jennings Hospital hosted an Inaugural Women’s Expo attended by over 100 women. Featured at the event were guest speakers sharing information about women’s health issues including:

  • Cancer detection and prevention with a focus on breast and cervical cancer
  • Women’s heart health with a focus on women’s symptoms and/or warning signs
  • Stress management
  • Healthy cooking

Health-related booths sponsored by the hospital and other vendors provided bone density screenings, the scheduling of discounted mammograms, blood pressure checks, health and fitness screenings and much more.

Benefits for attending the Women’s Expo included the opportunity to experience the Pamper Parlor which provided massage therapy, facials and makeovers by Mary Kay cosmetic representatives, and mini manicures.  Give-a-ways included “pink” and “red” gifts to emphasize October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the importance of Women’s Heart Health.
