2012 St.Vincent Mercy Foundation Scholarship

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the St.Vincent Mercy Hospital Foundation Scholarship Fund promotes health care careers among outstanding local students. Students eligible for the scholarships include:

High school seniors from Elwood, Frankton, Madison-Grant and Alexandria high schools who plan to pursue a health care career through higher education.
$1,000 scholarship grants will be awarded. The scholarships must be used during the 2012-2013 academic year.

Applications must be postmarked no later than February 20, 2012.

Scholarship winners will be announced at each school’s awards ceremony.

Please include the following with the application:

Three references from teachers, counselors, or employers. References should include: length and nature of acquaintance, an assessment of the applicant's academic potential and character. References must be on the letterhead of the person writing the reference and signed by him/her.
A transcript of grades, grade point average, SAT score and class rank.
SAR number from FASFA
An essay, no longer than 1000 words, outlining your reasons for pursuing a health care career and your future goals. Please include the schools and programs to which you have applied, and if you have been accepted to any of the schools. Please also include whether or not you have made your final decision on attending a university or college.Please ensure the application and other required information are postmarked, delivered, or e-mailed no later than February 20, 2012 to:
