Our Mission: Comprehensive and Compassionate Care
The staff of our Oncology and Outpatient Infusion Services Department provides quality and compassionate care to patients and families. We know that the diagnosis and treatment of cancer involve both the patient and his or her family. We are here to help each individual through the different stages.
Staffed by oncology-certified registered nurses with knowledge in the administration of chemotherapy, we treat each person as we would like our family members to be treated. Above all, we treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Chemotherapy involves using medication to treat and destroy cancer cells. The type of chemotherapy used is dependent upon the type and location of cancer. Each and every patient has an individualized treatment plan.

Oncology is the study of cancer. Hematology is the study of blood and blood forming organs.
Laurence Bates, MD, offers convenient hours in the Medical Specialty Center. Dr. Bates received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in hematology and oncology. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (765) 552-4585.
