Drug Testing
St.Vincent Mercy Hospital utilizes E-Screen, a method of instant drug testing that allows the employer to know of negative results within an hour of collection.
The E-Screen system detects adulterated specimens. The electronic interpretation (electronic eye) does not allow for error or variables from humans. Results are available via e-mail, fax or automated voice response system.
Screenings
On-site health screens and education are available upon request, including:
- Cholesterol screens
- Blood pressure
- Smoking cessation
- BMI (body mass index)
- Flu shots
Treatment Services
Our treatment services include:
- Acute injury and illness treatment and services
- Simple laceration repair
- Post-accident drug screens
- Open communication with employers and workers' compensation carriers
- HIPAA-compliant record management
- Audio/hearing tests
- Spirometry
- Medical surveillance examination
Non-traumatic injuries may be seen immediately in the Occupational Health Office. Emergent care will initially be evaluated in the Emergency Department with follow-up care in the office.
Associate Health Services
Associate health services include:
- Blood pressure screens
- New associate physicals and pre-placement screens
- New associate random drug screens
- Immunization titers
- Vaccinations administered as needed
- TB screening
- Bloodborne pathogen training
- Work-related injury reporting and monitoring
- OSHA-mandated needlestick/body fluid exposure tracking
- Latex screening and education
