Community Connections

St.Vincent Randolph Hospital is very involved with the local community with support groups such as Alzheimer’s, bariatric and diabetes education as well as advocacy and support programs, children and youth programs, and no or low-cost programs. The hospital also provides programs on health education, screening and prevention, and quality of life. As part of our Spirit of Caring, the hospital reaches out to groups within the community who we feel are missing needed health care services.

The groups we are currently working with include:

  • St.Vincent Randolph Hospital Farm Health Initiative (through the local Extension Office and the Farm Bureau)
  • Old Order Amish Group

Each year, hospital departments take part in “Spirit of Caring” projects that benefit different non-profit organizations or service groups.

We are very pro-active in providing health care services to our uninsured and underinsured patients by providing long-term medications at a reduced price, emergency medications and diabetic test strips.

Other initiatives include:

  • Reach Out and Read
  • Sexual Assault Response Team
  • Creating Positive Relationships (within all 5 county schools)
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Wellness Programs provided to the community
