St.Vincent Salem Hospital to Offer Monthly Bariatric Support Group

SALEM, IND. – St.Vincent Salem Hospital is proud to announce a new partnership with the St.Vincent Bariatric Center of Excellence. Beginning May 10, the hospital will sponsor a monthly Bariatric Support Group.

“As part of our work at the St.Vincent Bariatric Center of Excellence, we believe in supporting our patients long after surgery,” said Melissa Tuck, St.Vincent Bariatric Center of Excellence Outreach and Education Coordinator. “One of the many ways we do this is through our free, statewide support groups.”

Each group is scheduled to allow patients the opportunity to attend at least one meeting per month. These groups are open to anyone who has had—or is considering—bariatric surgery. Family members are also welcome to attend.

The Salem Support Group will be held the second Tuesday of each month from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Classroom. Moderators will be St.Vincent Salem Hospital associates, Kenna Howell and Scott Cox.
