Todd Arnold, MD
Dr. Arnold is a sports performance physician with more than 15 years of experience caring for athletes of all levels, from scholastic to professional. He serves as a performance scientist for USA Track and Field, conducting research on elite athletes and helping to prepare them for upcoming world championships and the Olympic games. He is also a team physician for the Indianapolis Indians. Dr. Arnold has extensive training through the Titleist Performance Institute in the biomechanics of the golf swing, golf fitness and health care related to the golfer, and is the co-creator of Prescription Golf & Fitness™.
David M. Harsha, MD (Medical Director)
As medical director for St.Vincent Sports Performance, Dr. Harsha is a clinical associate professor of Family Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Harsha serves as team physician for the Indiana Fever and Pike High School. He is a consulting team physician for USA Diving and USA Gymnastics. His special interests include Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Vocal Cord Dysfunction and medical education.
Joel M. Kary, MD
Dr. Kary is a team physician for USA Track and Field, Ed Carpenter Racing, Butler University and Roncalli High School. As a former collegiate distance runner, he enjoys working with runners and endurance athletes, and currently serves as the medical director of the Carmel Marathon. Dr. Kary is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine with a special focus in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
Patrick Kersey, MD
A former all-state high school athlete, Dr. Kersey remains involved in sports by serving as the medical director of USA Football and as team physician for Target/Chip Ganassi Racing in the IZOD IndyCar Series®. He previously served as the Indianapolis Colts team physician for more than 10 years. He’s a member of the Governor’s Council for Fitness and Sports, NFL Physician Society, Sports Concussion Management, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Kersey is the co-creator of Prescription Golf & Fitness™, a golf-specific workout program designed to improve a golfer’s swing.
Bree Simmons, MD
Dr. Simmons is a sports medicine physicians and the team physician for Circle City Derby Girls and Guerin Catholic High School. During her career, she has worked with the Indiana Fever and covered the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four, Big Ten Basketball Tournament and U.S. National Gymnastics Championships. She is a magna cum laude graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from the Penn State University College of Medicine. Dr. Simmons completed her family medicine residency at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and her Sports Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Tim Von Fange, MD
Dr. Von Fange is a sports medicine physician and currently serves as the team physician for the Marian University Knights and Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders. As an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), he serves on educational committees dedicated to enhancing sports medicine learning for both residents and fellows. His professional interests include concussion evaluation and management, acute and chronic soft tissue injury, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and health care policy. Dr. Von Fange is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Dan Ordaz, MD
Dr. Ordaz is a sports medicine physician and the team physician for Heritage Christian Schools and medical director for the Geist Half-Marathon. He has provided medical coverage for Butler University and Marian University athletics, the Carmel Marathon and Geist Half-Marathon, B1G Ten basketball and football tournaments, and multiple USA Track and Field events. As an avid runner and endurance athlete, he has a special interest in evaluating and managing running injuries. Dr. Ordaz completed his residency with St.Vincent Family Medicine and fellowship with St.Vincent Sports Performance. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.
