What is Monogram Maternity?
Monogram Maternity at St.Vincent Women's Hospital is a unique, personalized approach to childbirth and was developed with your needs in mind. When you register with Monogram Maternity , you will begin to receive weekly e-mail updates and health information personalized to your week of pregnancy. On our Web site we also offer a variety of information related to pregnancy and a listing of our childbirth education classes.
Throughout your pregnancy, a Monogram Maternity Nurse Navigator is available to answer your questions, and address your concerns by phone or e-mail. Call or e-mail to schedule an appointment with a Nurse Navigator around 36 weeks to discuss your big day. Together we will create a personalized birth plan with a variety of labor support options, including therapeutic aromatherapy and much more. Leave the appointment feeling Confident and Prepared for your birth experience.
When your baby is ready to enter the world, Monogram Maternity will be ready for you. You and your physician will have discussed which form of birth is right for you, and you’ll have a full choice of pain management options including many Integrative Therapies. Lactation consultants are available daily to help in your breastfeeding success. You will love your nurses as they guide you with kindness and education through this miraculous adventure!
Specialists and Experts During Delivery
Most women give birth to their babies without complications. However, it’s reassuring to know that at St.Vincent Women's Hospital, we’re prepared for anything that might arise. Our high-risk obstetrical staff specializes in helping expectant moms with various health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or the birth of multiple infants and is specially trained in high-risk births. In fact, our High-Risk Obstetrical Unit (HRU) is only the second in the U.S. to be named a Center of Excellence for high-risk obstetrics certification by The Joint Commission. You can also be assured that if complications do arise, your baby will be cared for by the experienced staff in our Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – the largest designated Level 4 (the highest level of care) NICU in Indiana. In fact, St.Vincent Women’s Hospital is the Only hospital in Indiana with the highest level of care for both mothers and newborns in the same building!
Support After Your Journey Home: Confident and Prepared
Throughout your journey we offer a variety of print and online resources including DVDs, books, brochures and more. We are always available to help answer your questions, offer support or provide peace of mind. We encourage you to take advantage of these resources during your stay and after you leave us.
After you return home, our Breastfeeding Support Groups and Lactation Consultants will help you take care of your newborn and yourself through phone and in-person consults and a private Lactation facebook page. Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital has wonderful resources including 338-KIDS 24 hour RN phone line and a 4Kids Health App that you will use until your child heads off to college.
