INDIANAPOLIS, April 11, 2005 - Randy A. Hock, MD, PhD, MMM, has been designated a Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management (CCMM).
The Certified Physician Executive designation, used in signatory, indicates that a physician has achieved superior levels of professional excellence and management education, while also demonstrating effective knowledge and leadership skills. The CCMM currently lists just 900 Certified Physicians Executives.
CCMM awarded Dr. Hock the status of Certified Physician Executive for educational achievements, demonstrated stature as a physician, and experience in the field of medical management.
Dr. Hock earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and his Masters of Medical Management from the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Hock is the medical director of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Pediatric Hospice at St.Vincent Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
The Certifying Commission in Medical Management is the national certifying body for physicians specializing in medical management and is a not-for-profit corporation chartered by the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) to establish and maintain the high standards required for physician executive certification. The ACPE is the nation’s largest organization of physicians in health care leadership. The College is recognized by the American Medical Association as the specialty society representing physicians in management and holds a seat in the AMA House of Delegates.
