Anne Coleman Named Administrator of St.Vincent Women's Hospital and Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent

INDIANAPOLIS – St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital has announced that Anne Coleman, RN, has been named administrator of St.Vincent Women's Hospital and Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent.

Coleman, a 22-year St.Vincent associate, served as a nurse in the Medical Surgical and Neurology departments; held leadership roles in Cardiovascular Services; and most recently served as administrator of St.Vincent Women's Hospital.

The newly-created position of administrator of St.Vincent Women's and Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent is the first of its kind in Indiana, and is designed to provide a full continuum of care between children's and women's services.

"Our focus is to eliminate any barriers of care and to continue the quality of care at both St.Vincent Women’s and Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent," said Coleman.  "We will enhance our services and processes by collaborating with physicians to develop programs for our specific patient populations.  This new role will combine the full service capabilities at both hospitals to provide holistic care for the family."

It had been suggested from physicians at both locations that care would be more efficient if pediatric subspecialists were better aligned with the Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Women's Hospital. St.Vincent NICU is the largest in Indiana, and pediatricians collaborate daily with NICU physicians and staff to care for the state's newborns. St.Vincent leadership listened to the physicians and clinical staff recommendations to develop both programs under one administrator.

"By having a renowned NICU and a comprehensive children's hospital, it only made sense to work closer together and provide collaborative, compassionate care," said Coleman.  "Both facilities will continue with its separate, but unique brands and cultures."

Coleman received her bachelor's degree from Ball State University School of Nursing, and serves as a board member for Nursing 2000, Women's Physician Surgery Center and St. Elizabeth Coleman Pregnancy and Adoption Services.
