Kimberly Nealon Named Site Director for St.Vincent Medical Center Northeast

New Facility Will Include Indiana’s First Freestanding Emergency Department

FISHERS – St.Vincent Health recently announced that Kimberly Nealon, RN, has been named the site director for the new St.Vincent Medical Center Northeast located at 13914 E. State Route 238 at the intersection of 238 and Olio Road.

For more than 18 years, Nealon has served in various clinical settings at the health care system's Indianapolis, Anderson and Carmel hospitals.  Most recently, she led St.Vincent Carmel Hospital's emergency department, digestive health center and short stay units.

The Anderson native and Indiana University School of Nursing graduate will be responsible for operations, building physician and community relationships, and ensuring optimal patient and associate satisfaction for the 120,000 square-foot outpatient facility.

"Our focus will be to meet the healthcare needs of this community, and provide the highest quality of emergency and outpatient services," said Nealon.  "We will do this by developing strategic relationships with area EMS providers in addition to our existing network with St.Vincent Health hospitals in Indianapolis, Carmel and Anderson."

In 2006, St.Vincent Health purchased 26.6 acres in Fishers with plans to provide primary and specialty care for local communities, and supplement the health care services at St.Vincent Indianapolis, St.Vincent Carmel and Saint John's Health System in Anderson.

St.Vincent Medical Center Northeast will serve patients from the growing Fishers, Noblesville and southwestern Madison County markets.  It will include an ambulatory surgery center, a medical office building and Indiana's first freestanding emergency department.  The 15-bed freestanding emergency department will screen and treat adult and pediatric patients, be staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, and house a helipad for air medical transportation.

St.Vincent Health has also collaborated with area surgeons to build an ambulatory surgery center with four operating rooms, two endoscopy suites and one multi-purpose suite.  A medical office building will include a convenient clinic for comprehensive health care screenings and physician referrals, sleep center with adult and pediatric rooms, primary care, pediatric, women's, rehabilitation, mental health and older adult services.  Digital diagnostic imaging capabilities such as MRI, CT scanners, ultrasound and X-rays will be available, along with laboratory services.

St.Vincent Medical Center Northeast will bring more than 100 jobs to the community, and is expected to open in the fall of 2008.
