DETAILS:
Today, St.Vincent Health and YMCA of Greater Indianapolis officials will announce a unique partnership to benefit the health and wellness of community residents.  The organizations will also unveil expansion details of the Fishers YMCA, and celebrate the new affiliation by hosting a Health and Wellness Fair.

St.Vincent Health and the YMCA share common faith-based values, and are committed to improving the health of Indianapolis area families.  Both organizations have a longstanding history of addressing the mind, body and spirit of adults and children, and are open to identifying opportunities to expand their programs and services to support the community’s health and wellness needs.

The first phase of the innovative partnership entails the 3,900 square-foot expansion of the Fishers YMCA.  At the Fishers location, YMCA’s 22,000 members will have immediate access to the new St.Vincent Physical Therapy Center.  The Physical Therapy Center will be a convenient addition to the YMCA, and will address the health care needs of its members.  St.Vincent Health and the YMCA will also explore additional health, wellness and medical service partnership opportunities for residents throughout Indianapolis and surrounding communities.

The announcement of the partnership and expansion comes as the Fishers YMCA seeks additional support for its capital campaign goal of $1.8 million.  To date, the Fishers location has raised $1.2 million from the generous support of corporate and individual donors.

At the Health and Wellness Fair, community residents will participate in fun, family-friendly activities, and receive health education and information.

Fishers YMCA offers various services and activities including aquatics, before-and after- school programs, day camp, preschool, youth and teen programs and health and wellness programs.
