INDIANAPOLIS - St.Vincent has formalized a partnership with The College Network, Inc. (TCN), an organization that provides online educational solutions from leading universities to help individuals earn their associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees and professional certificates.
"The partnership between St.Vincent and The College Network continues to provide outstanding continuing education opportunities for our associates and their immediate family members living at home," said Wanda Powell, RN, an Education Consultant at St.Vincent Hospital Indianapolis.
The St.Vincent partnership with TCN provides associates and their immediate family members living at home with grants, an annual scholarship, and access to online degree programs to help them further their education in the areas of health care, nursing, and business. TCN uses a blended learning format that includes college equivalency testing plus online coursework through accredited university partners.
"Between the annual scholarship and the grants, TCN has exceeded the traditional benefits provided by an educational entity, which is particularly important in current economic times. This is a great example of the creativity of both organizations to meet the needs of our associates and their families," said Powell.
TCN’s Comprehensive Learning Modules™ (CLM) prepare individuals to earn college credit by passing end-of-course college equivalency exams. Credit earned can be transferred to one of TCN’s partner universities where individuals complete the remainder of their degree programs online.
