Philosophy of Clinical Education
Clinical educators at St.Vincent Rehabilitation Services believe that…
- Students deserve qualified, competent and proficient role models as clinical instructors
- Students have a wide variety of learning needs and styles
- We can provide an environment conducive to learning multiple aspects of patient care
- It is the student’s responsibility to take control of their own learning
- It is our responsibility as clinical faculty to facilitate student learning and encourage the students in their areas of interest
- The flow of teaching is not just from clinical instructor to student, but an exchange of information and learning takes place
