The student nurse internship program is tailored to student nurses who have completed their junior year of school and will be entering their last year of school in the fall.
The program basics are that 2 student nurses will be hired for each participating hospital unit. The program begins in mid May and runs through Aug. 6th. The students will be assigned specific units on a full time basis and will work with the same Preceptor throughout the summer.
The student nurses will be working toward attaining their SNE-C designation and will be functioning in the role of the RN not a Patient Care Tech.
We hope to add a valuable experience to the student over the summer months and give them a true taste of “life as an RN”
