To make your discharge as smooth as possible, your doctor will attempt to inform you of your discharge at least 24 hours before you are to leave the hospital. If you have questions related to being discharged, please consult your nurse.
Before you leave your room, please be sure to check through all of the closets and drawers for your personal items.
On the day you are leaving the hospital, we suggest that the person picking you up park in the main lot north of the hospital (along 86th Street) and come to your room to help you check out. When you are checked out and ready to leave your room, your driver can pull up to the main entrance. A member of the hospital staff will bring you to the front entrance in a wheelchair. |
