Zimmer Mini Incision Hip Replacement
Saint John’s is one of a few hospitals in Indiana to offer arthritic-hip-pain sufferers a minimally invasive alternative to traditional hip replacement. The Zimmer Mini Incision procedure uses specialized instruments and adapted surgical techniques to implant the same high-quality and clinically proven hip implants used in traditional hip replacement. The new technique allows the implant to be inserted through two 2-inch incisions, rather than the standard 10- to 12-inch incision. For more information, call (765) 683-4400.

Saint John's Joint Replacement Center
Patients recovering from joint replacement surgery (hip and knee) receive specialized care together on one unit.  A feeling of community is emphasized through the option for group rehabilitation therapy sessions.  Patients begin their surgical experience by participating in the center's Joint Effort educational program.  This program offers patients and their families a step-by-step guide to joint replacement.  They receive educational materials and attend a class to prepare them for the events that take place before, during and after the surgery.  Topics covered include pre- and post-op, diet, rehabilitation and discharge.  For more information, call (765) 646-8531.
