TREATMENT OF ATATRACTS
In the early stages, cataracts can be managed by improving vision with new eyeglasses, brighter lighting, anti-glare sunglasses, or magnifying lenses. When vision loss from cataracts interferes with your everyday activities and can’t be improved, the recommended treatment is surgery. During surgery a clear implant is inserted to replace the cloudy lens (cataract).
Cataract surgery, is a highly successful out-patient procedure, associated with minimal pain, usually requiring only mild anesthesia. One of the most common surgeries performed in the United States, about 95 percent of people who have cataract surgery experience significantly improved vision afterward.
