Mission Statement

The Mission of the Metropolitan Indianapolis- Central Indiana Area Health Education Center (MICI-AHEC) is to enhance the quality of and access to health care, improve health care outcomes and address the health workforce needs of medically underserved communities and populations by establishing partnerships between the institutions that train health professionals and the communities that need them most.

Purpose and Vision

MICI- AHEC evaluates and addresses the health needs of communities within and among the regions and provides innovative, collaborative, multi-disciplinary responses to those needs. AHECs develop community health education and health provider training programs in areas with diverse and severely underserved populations.
