Jennifer O’Brien, MS, CNP
Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The Ohio State University. She spent 1 year researching non-organic reasons for failure-to-thrive children and also worked on the Infectious Disease/Neurology floor at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
She decided to continue her education and received her master’s degree from The Ohio State University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State. While completing her graduate work, she received a scholarship in cardiovascular disease and stroke from the American Heart Association to research anxiety in myocardial infarction patients. She presented this research at the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Exposition. She was also selected to present research abstracts at Midwest Nursing Research Society for two years. Jennifer is published in several peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts related to her research in chronic conditions. She frequently gives seminars on health related issues to the community.
Jennifer is credentialed by the American Nursing Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner since 2000. She began working with Dr. Juanita Albright in 2004 in Worthington, Ohio. She subsequently followed Dr. Albright to Indiana 2 years later. Jennifer is licensed in both Indiana and Ohio. In addition to providing excellent care to the patients at St.Vincent, she also serves as a preceptor to nurse practitioner students. Jennifer has special interests in depression/anxiety, women’s health, and nutrition..
