The Indiana Center for Minimally Invasive Pediatric Surgery
Denis Bensard, M.D., joined St.Vincent after 11 years at the Children's Hospital of Denver. He is a professor of surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is geographically located in Indianapolis. His professional interests include neonatal surgery, minimally invasive surgery and trauma.
Joshua Careskey, M.D., joined St.Vincent Hospital in 1998, after completing his fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital National Center in Washington, D.C. His professional interests include neonatal, gastrointestinal and thoracic surgery.
Richard Hendrickson, M.D., came to St.Vincent after two years at the Children's Hospital of Denver. He is an assistant professor of surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is geographically located in Indianapolis. He has completed advanced training in hepatobiliary and transplant surgery.
Evan Kokoska, M.D., comes to St.Vincent after five years as an assistant professor at Arkansas Children’s Hospital associated with the University of Arkansas Medical Center. During that time, he was the first surgeon in the region to achieve a minimally invasive approach to numerous pediatric conditions. He also established the Arkansas Children’s Hospital as a Center of Excellence for the Nuss procedure as treatment for pectus excavatum. He is an assistant professor of surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and is geographically located in Indianapolis.
Katie Freeman, R.N., M.S.N., C.P.N.P., is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her master’s degree in nursing and has experience working with two nationally known children’s hospitals.
Carla Fyffe, R.N., M.S.N., C.P.N.P., is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She completed her master’s degree in nursing in 2005.
