St.Vincent Pediatric Rehabilitation Center works with physicians and families to provide a level of care and treatment specific to the child’s needs and abilities. Children should be considered for admission early in their recovery. To expedite the admission process, SVPRC offers parent tours, onsite evaluation, a preliminary treatment plan, insurance and Medicaid pre-certification.
SVPRC has a diverse medical staff that includes specialists in child psychology, dentistry, developmental pediatrics, infectious disease, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric pulmonology, pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation and plastic surgery.
You can take comfort that a pediatrician will manage the medical care of your child with consultation by a PM&R physician and other pediatric specialists as indicated.
Our Rehab Team
Our therapists work with children and young adults and have extensive pediatric experience, including Neuro Developmental Treatment (NDT) and Sensory Integration experience. Each therapist on our Pediatric Rehabilitation Center team is dedicated to providing quality care to patients and their families.
Our Rehab Team Includes:
- Occupational Therapy - Emphasizes fine motor skills and sensory motor skills for independent functioning as well as working to improve cognitive function.
- Physical Therapy - Builds strength, balance and coordination for gross motor activities.
- Speech-Language Pathology - Improves cognitive, language and oral motor skills for effective communication and safe swallowing.
