Dr. Bensard
Dr. Denis Bensard is a board certified pediatric surgeon who joined St. Vincent Children's hospital in 2006. Dr. Bensard moved to Indianapolis after eleven years at the Children's Hospital of Denver. He is a Professor of Surgery at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center and is geographically located in Indianapolis partnership with St. Vincent Health. Dr. Bensard graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine with honors, then completed training in General Surgery and Critical Care at the University of Colorado. Dr. Bensard completed his Pediatric Surgery fellowship at Columbus Children's hospital. Dr. Bensard's academic interests include neonatal surgery, minimally invasive surgery and trauma. Married with two daughters, Dr. Bensard enjoys opera, biking, fishing and skiing.
Dr. CareskeyDr. Joshua Careskey is a board certified pediatric surgeon who joined St. Vincent in 1998 after returning to the Indianapolis area from Richmond Virginia. Dr.Careskey completed his general surgery residency at Indiana University and his pediatric surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital National Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr.Careskey enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering for community programs when not at the hospital.
Dr. Hendrickson
Dr. Richard Hendrickson is a pediatric surgeon who joined St. Vincent Children's hospital in 2006. Dr. Hendrickson moved to Indianapolis after two years at the Children's Hospital of Denver. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cincinnati Children's Medical Center and is geographically located in Indianapolis in partnership with St. Vincent Health. Dr. Hendrickson graduated from Georgetown University Medical School, completed his general surgery training at Georgetown University Medical School and University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Hendrickson has completed advanced training in Pediatric ECMO at Georgetown University Medical Center and Pediatric Surgery and Transplant Surgery at the University of Colorado.
