Region-wide access to fair, affordable, safe, quality housing for all.
New Hope
St.Vincent New Hope has provided residential services to adults with developmental disabilities since 1978. Originally care was provided in an institutional setting. Now, clients live in group homes, supported living and semi-independent living environments. Clients receive care in home-like settings, which enable them to develop independent living and work skills.
Housing Assistance for the Homeless
St.Vincent provides financial and in-kind support for organizations that serve homeless individuals and families. Among these are Holy Family Shelter, which makes emergency shelter available to families for up to 45 days while they search for permanent housing and employment. St.Vincent also supports Horizon House, a day center for homeless men and women, located just east of downtown Indianapolis. This one-stop center offers a variety of services including shower and laundry facilities, telephones, a place to store belongings and counseling and referral services. |
