The St.Vincent Diabetes Center team of specialists includes certified diabetes educators who can help you balance your diabetes care and your lifestyle needs.   • Self-management skills for type 2 and type 1 diabetes (adults and children)
  • Education on impaired glucose tolerance
  • Gestational diabetes education
  • Education on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
  • Instruction on blood glucose monitoring
  • Insulin pump training and initiation
  • Continuous glucose monitoring system
  • Instruction on insulin administration and other diabetes medications
  • Individualized meal planning
  • A variety of group classes
  • Goal Setting

 

Getting Started

  • All services require a physician’s order.
  • When an order for “diabetes education” is received, you will be contacted to set up an appointment for your education.
  • Individual insurance policies vary on reimbursement for educational services. Patients are encouraged to check their coverage prior to their appointment. Financial assistance is available for qualified candidates.

 

Community Programs
