The St.Vincent Indianapolis Emergency Department is a full service, 24 hour provider of emergency care. Our service is deeply rooted in the St.Vincent Core Values of Service to the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity and Dedication.
Our department treats over 140 patients every day and is staffed with Board Certified Emergency Physicians and our nursing staff has an average of 20 years of emergency nursing experience.
The department is conveniently located at the St.Vincent Indianapolis campus located at 2001 W. 86th Street. view a map The entrance is on the south side of the campus on Katie Knox Drive. The ambulatory entrance offers a covered drive in and drop off for ambulatory patients and our ambulance bay is underground and completely isolated from the weather. Our department has 39 private patient rooms, including specialty rooms for cardiac care, ear, nose and throat, and hand injuries. St.Vincent is also an approved location for treating patients for chemical and hazardous material contamination.
Upon arrival patients are seen by triage nurses and offered bedside registration. Those with non-life threatening injuries may be seen in our Express Care unit located adjacent to the main Emergency Department.
