At St.Joseph Hospital, we understand that what happens in the emergency room can be almost as traumatic and trying as the reasons you are there in the first place.  That’s why we have reinvented the emergency department.

The St.Joseph Hospital Emergency Services Department is well equipped to handle your needs as a full-service 24-hour provider.  Our service is deeply rooted in our Core Values of Service to the Poor, Reverence, Integrity, Wisdom, Creativity and Dedication.

Our highly-trained staff of medical professionals will see to it that you or your loved ones’ needs are diagnosed, treated and cared for in a timely manner.  From bedside registration, to 15 private rooms with television and phone, to a waiting room with a home-like feel, we do everything to minimize the stress of an emergency department visit.

Of course, state-of-the-art technology is a big part of it, too.  The medical staff has access to a computer in every room, and if you’ve been a patient at St.Joseph since June 2005, they will know your medical needs and history at the touch of a button.

Although the St.Joseph Emergency Services Department is not a trauma center, it is equipped to handle most serious or life-threatening conditions.  For those emergencies that require the more sophisticated diagnosis and treatment, St.Joseph has a helipad and is conveniently located just minutes by air to several major medical centers with trauma units.
