Warren County EMS is a county owned, hospital based and managed Advanced Life Support Provider. It is certified by the State of Indiana at the basic, advanced and paramedic levels. EMS services are available to the citzens of the county at all times.
The service is staffed with one paramedic and one emt working a 24 hour shift, and a second crew "on call" to bring up a second ambulance when the first one is active. A third vehicle is available and put into service as needed. Crews provide emergency "911" call pre-hospital medicine as well as inter-facility transport and convalescent transport. In addition, ALS (Advanced Life Support) crews provide "medic inter-cept" to neighboring basic life support counties. This occurs when BLS (Basic Life Support) services have patients that are critically ill or injured requiring intervention enroute to the hospital. WCEMS is dispached to meet those services on the road, the paramedic will board their ambulance and assume patient care while continuing on to the hospital.
