Our labor and delivery rooms offer you:
- Fully adjustable birthing bed for labor and birth
- Sleep chair for patient and/or visitor
- Television
- Telephone to connect you to your family and friends
- Private bathroom with a separate shower
- Skylight TV - free movies, educational videos, and wireless internet access
Cesarean births are performed in one of two surgical suites conveniently located in the labor and delivery unit.
After delivery
- The staff will ensure both mother and baby are doing well and provide plenty of time for mothers who choose to breast feed their baby
- Brahms' Lullaby is played each time a baby is born at St.Vincent Carmel Hospital
- You will be transported with your baby to a private postpartum room a few hours after delivery.
