OB Clinic Primary Care Center

The St.Vincent Primary Care Center provides obstetrical care by Resident Physicians through both the Family Medicine and the OB/GYN clinics. High-risk obstetrical care is provided by a Perinatologist. Pediatric care is provided by either Pediatricians or Family Medicine Residents. Immunizations are offered free one time monthly at the Super Shots Clinic. Patients are screened for financial needs as well as psycho-social issues. Prenatal classes are available at a reduced cost, newborn care classes are offered monthly, and a four-week parenting series is offered to parents of children identified as "at risk." Funds are available for transportation needs, utility bills, etc.

In addition, St.Vincent associates maintain a Food Pantry to assist patients in need. Another program available from participating physicians and the Primary Care Center is the B.A.B.E. program which offers women the opportunity to earn coupons that can be redeemed at local Marion County B.A.B.E stores for cribs, clothing, baby supplies, etc.

Pediatric Clinic - W.I.C. Program

A Women, Infants and Children (W.I.C.) counselor is at St.Vincent four mornings a week where she enrolls qualified mothers into this program. W.I.C. provides women with resources and supplies needed for a newborn. Approximately 50 patients are enrolled each month.

Car Seat Inspections

St.Vincent Women's Hospital provides car seat inspections by certified child safety seat technicians.  The technicians can answer your questions, determine if the car seat fits your child correctly, and if the car seat is installed correctly in your car.  All types and sizes of car seats are inspected.  The technician can also determine if an older child can fit safely in the car seat belt or if a booster seat is needed.

For a complete inspection, the child should be present.  Expectant families can have their car seat inspected for correct installation and discuss with the inspector how to safely put the baby in the car seat.

All inspections are done by appointment only and are free of charge.  Appointments will last approximately 30 minutes per child/car seat.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 317-415-7447.
