Labor and Delivery

Our Childbirth Suites are designed for the Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) concept.  Each LDR room is spacious and cheerfully decorated.  These home-like rooms aren’t only equipped for a safe delivery, they’re designed for a comfortable one, too. 

Our LDR's offer you:

• Fully adjustable birthing bed for labor and birth
• Recliner for your support person
• Telephone
• Television
• VCR/DVD/CD players
• Private bath that has a shower with a hand-held shower massage

For mothers who deliver by Cesarean, your baby’s birth will take place in one of our special Cesarean rooms.  And we’re always ready for your new arrival, no matter what time of the day or night, with board certified anesthesiologists who provide around-the-clock care.

After Delivery:

• The staff will ensure both mother and baby are doing well and provide plenty of time for mothers who choose to breastfeed their baby.
• Brahms' Lullaby is played each time a baby is born.
• You will be transported with your baby to a private postpartum room on the Family Care Unit after recovery.
