St.Vincent offers Childbirth and Early Parenting Programs

Breastfeeding Basics

This one-session introduction to breastfeeding focuses on techniques for initiating nursing during the early weeks with your newborn and maintaining a successful breastfeeding experience.  Discussion includes benefits for both mom and baby, latching, positioning and returning to the workplace. Information on breast pumps and other available lactation services is included. Partners or support persons are strongly encouraged to attend.

Classes are held both at St.Vincent Women's Hospital Indianapolis and Carmel .  For more information, or to register, call 317-338-CARE (2273).
