Anticipating Co-Payments

Many insurance plans require you to pay a certain percentage of your health care expenses. For example, you may be required to make a $15 co-pay every time you visit your primary care physician, or $50 whenever you visit the emergency department.

Sometimes a higher co-pay applies if you have not received approval from your primary care physician to see a particular specialist or go to the emergency department. It is best to find out what kind of co-pay you have for mental health services. Payment is expected at the time of the service.

As a reminder, if you do need to cancel your appointment, please call the office as soon as possible to inform them.
