Center for Prenatal Diagnosis - Meet Our Staff

 

James E. Sumners, MD received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Tennessee before completing a surgical internship at Ohio State University. He did his residency in Pediatrics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, and in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. His fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine was at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and in Maternal-Fetal Medicine was at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Sumners is board certified in pediatrics, neonatal-perinatal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and maternal-fetal medicine. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, the Medical College of Wisconsin, the University of Illinois, and Indiana University.
Maurice Eggleston, MD is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He has also served as a staff perinatologist and was director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Portsmouth Navel Regional Medical Center for 12 years.

Margie Cockshott, MSN, WHNP originally received training as a nurse at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, England in 1980. She received her certification in Midwifery in 1984 and worked for several years as a midwife at Guys and St. Thomas hospital in London. She obtained her MSN in Womens Health at Indiana University in 2006 and her clinical experience includes working in a small mission hospital in Nigeria for a year, public health nursing and ER nursing. She worked on the labor and delivery unit at St. Vincent Women’s Hospital from 1994-2007. Margie is married and lives with her husband and three children.

Dana Lennie, ARPN received her certification as a woman's health nurse practitioner in 1998. She has worked in postpartum and high risk obstetrical units at Mercy Hospital in Des Monies Iowa. She has also worked with new mothers and babies at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. She currently works at the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis assisting in patient care and patient care coordination.

Kathey Edie, RT, RDMS  joined our staff in 1992 after working at Riley Children's Hospital. Kathy received her training at the IU Medical Center. As an ultrasonographer, her duties include assisting with procedures as well as performing obstetric ultrasounds.

Amberlee Hudson, RT has worked at the Center for Prenatal diagnosis since 1988. She received her Radiology Training at Hancock Memorial Hospital. In addition to her duties as an ultrasonographer, Amberlee is also the office manager. Amberlee performs obstetric ultrasounds and assists in procedures such as amniocentesis, fetal blood sampling / transfusions and chorionic villus sampling.

Colleen Matthews received her BS from University of Dayton in Communication and Marketing and worked for a marketing company, Rainmaker, after graduation. She has always wanted to be involved in the medical field and has volunteered in radiology department at Hancock Regional Hospital. She decided to return to school for ultrasonography and graduated from the Medical Career Institute in Chicago in 2007. She then had an internship with the Maternal Fetal Medicine and Genetics Center here at St.Vincent Women’s Hospital before joining the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis in April of 2008 as our newest ultrasonography.

Rachel Finley, MS, CGC is one of our genetic counselors. She received her BS degree from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana and completed her MS degree in Genetic Counseling at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Prior to becoming a genetic counselor, Rachel worked as a contractor with Eli Lilly and Company as an analytical chemist.

Heather Marin, MS, CGC is a certified genetic counselor. She received her BS degree from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and completed her MS degree in Genetic Counseling at the Indiana University School of medicine in Indianapolis.

Megan Tucker, MS, CGC is one of our newest employees here at the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis. She received her BS degree in Biology Secondary Education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She then taught high school biology, chemistry/physics, and zoology for two years at Pendleton Heights High school in Pendleton, Indiana. She will complete her MS degree in May, 2006 in Genetic Counseling at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis and will join the genetic counseling team here at the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis.

Deb Kessler is one of our front desk coordinators. Deb has worked in accounting & payroll, receivables & payables, and insurance for 24 years. She has enjoyed working with the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis for 16 years.

Arlean Richardson is our medical coder, abstractor, and billing agent. She graduated from Marian College in Indianapolis with an associate degree in Business management in 2005. She is also in the process of returning to Marian college for a bachelor's degree in business management.

Tracy Sanford is one of our front desk coordinators. In the past she has worked for Physiotherapy Associates as the office manager for Women's Health. She has enjoyed working with the Center for Prenatal Diagnosis for the past 9 years.
