Ultrasonography
Our offices are fully accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
Ultrasound utilizes high frequency sound waves to obtain an image of the baby. The information obtained from these images can determine how far along you are in your pregnancy, the number of babies present as well as provides information on you baby’s growth, position and amount of amniotic fluid present. Though ultrasound is a valuable tool for identifying many fetal abnormalities, it is not capable of detecting all abnormalities.
Ultrasound services include:
- Routine obstetrical ultrasound which may include 3-D and 4-D imaging
- First and second trimester genetic screening ultrasounds
- Gynecological ultrasound which may include both 3-D and sonohysterography
- High resolution ultrasound targeted to evaluate specific fetal abnormalities such as fetal echocardiogram
